- The Texas Rangers put jerseys on Harold Baines and Fred Manrique, and sent Wilson Alvarez, Scott Fletcher and Sammy Sosa to Chicago in 1989. George W. Bush was a part owner of the club at the time. Many say he would go on to make much more serious mistakes.
- The Texas Rangers have not retired very many jerseys in their time in Texas or their time in Washington as the Senators. The only player jersey retired was that belonging to Nolan Ryan (#34) in 1996.
- Texas has seen a number of Home Run Champions in thier jerseys over the years. In 1968 and 1970 it was Frank Howard, in 1992 and 1993 Juan Gonzalez took top honours, and by 2001 Alex Rodriguez was on the scene holding the title through 2002 and 2003.
- The franchises first logo was a large white cowboy hat on top of a baseball showing its seams to represent the state's history of cowboys and frontier. The team name written in the middle of the baseball is also represents a "western feel". This logo appeared from 1972 - 1980.
- Canadian Fergie Jenkins was given his place in the clubs Hall of Fame in 2004 along with Buddy Bell who was from Pittsburgh.
- Since 2003, the primary logo has been red and blue and contains that familar baseball inlaid in a circle. The team name encloses the baseball, which contains the "T" in the team script. It is the 6th logo since the franchise relocated in 1972.

- Cooperstown exhibits include baseballs and game-worn caps from both of Nolan Ryan 's no-hitters with the club: June 11, 1990 and May 1, 1991, and a ball from Bert Blyleven's no-hit game, September 22, 1977 .
