  • The Indiana Pacers first wore jersey in the old ABA. In fact the Indiana Pacers were 3-time national champs in that league.

Reggie turned out to become the franchise's all-time career points leader, and also one of the best 3 point men the the league has ever had.
  • In the season that began in 1989, the club made the playoffs for the 3rd time. Miller made the All Star team that year as well. They may have made the playoffs, but they also lost all 3 games in the post season. On the bright side, they lost to the Detroit Pistons who were on their way to a 2nd title.
  • They play at the Conseco Fieldhouse which was officially opened on November 6, 1999. That day they played host to the Boston Celtics. The home team won 115-108 .
  • They brought in the world's largest crane during construction to install the roof tresses. To get it in place the crane had to be taken apart and brought in in bits.
  • This arena is the 1st retro styled venue in use in all the National Basketball Association.
  • USA Today said that Fieldhouse is "A Cathedral to Basketball". Other have compared it to Baltimore's Camden Yards.
