- Sacramento Kings jerseys were not around when the franchise started it's life. The club was first known as the Royals while in Rochester and a short time in Cincinnati. When they moved to KC, there was already a Royals pro sports club playing baseball, so they put Kings on their jerseys.

- The mascot for this club since 1998 is Slamson, an apparent play on the Biblical Samson who was a man of great strength.
